Narita Express

I was thinking to take the cheapest way to go to Tokyo from Narita Airport and I had checked the infomation on Yahoo Japan and found out that I cound take "Densha". It just cost 940 Yen but I have to transfrer to another Densha line. Actually it is not so complicated if I had a Tokyo Densha map by hand. But I noticed an useful infomation before I arrive Tokyo.

I bought a magazine before bording in CKS Airport. In the last part of the magazine, it provides some traffic infomation in Tokyo, including the ways to go to Tokyo from Narita. I noticed that there is a new solution..... well, actually not "New", but "cheap" and "fast", which is the " N'EX special package for foreigners".

"N'EX" is the initial of " Narita Express", which is the express train from Narita Airport to Tokyo and Yokohama, but the tickets are very expensive. For example, an one way ticket from Narita Airport to Shinjuku costs 2900 yen.

The special package for foreigners includes an one way ticket and a "Suica" (valued 2000 yen, which is a prepaid card that you can use it in all the public transportation ) and just cost 3500 yen.

Ordinarily, if I bought the N'EX and the Suica separately, it would cost 2900 + 2000 = 4900, so I can save 1400 yen with the special package. Passengers who travel to Yokohama will save more with this package.

Going To Tokyo

JL-640, from Taipei to Tokyo. Sep. 24, 2008. It was an early flight, the departure time was 8:20 a.m. from Taipei so that I had to wake up very very early.

The reason that I prefer Japan Airline is just because its flight meals are tasty , and yes, the in-flight service are very good.

But this time I was not in the mood of enjoying the flight meal since I wake up too early. I forced myself to sleep in the flight and I would have energy to walk around as soon as I arrive Tokyo.
